What I ate in Pokhara
It was almost 6 PM when we reached lakeside in our hotel, as our car broke down and we had to repair it in the highway. We were really tired and hungry, but didn't wanted to have the meal already so we decided to head toward the lakeside and get some food and drinks.
We wanted something different, and the owner of the hotel brought these delicious soyabean and dried buffalo meat. It did really match with the vodka! But, they served it too slow!

After gaining some energy from the spirit and food, we headed for some heavy meal. We headed towards a famous attraction for meal in pokhara "maili didi ko khana".
As we reached the place, there were a lot of people waiting for their turn to devour the food. Luckily, we got the chance to sit on the queue and got our food after being patient for 50 minutes.
In a while, came the food, not matching my expectations!

Service: 2.5
The food was average! It didn't really excite me! And now, we wanted to get out in the streets, as it is Friday, and we're in Pokhara!
We headed to Busy bee, the place was really buzzing and the ambiance enthralled me.
Got a next peg of vodka to keep me entertained!

Finally, headed toward the hotel to take a nap, we got to hit the roads early tomorrow.
Again, we didn't sleep! Called the bar in the hotel and asked for some more drink and here we had one more peg of vodka with a soothing light, accompanied by nuts.
Finally, went for the nap later! ;)

You say that the food did not match any expectations but it seems good from the photo. What exactly was the food lacking? What did they sing and who were the singers in the heavy metal concert? A little elaboration would be a nice addition to the already information and conservative post.

ReplyDeleteSince the number of people waiting in queue for food at Maili didi ko khana was high, they couldn't maintain the quality of the food they provided. Some of the food items were very cold when it was served.
ReplyDeleteAt busy bees, there was a local band performing "More than I can say" by Leo Slayer.
Busy bees was pretty much expensive as a bottle of beer did cost almost 2x the normal price.
